The Business Unit Manager - Clinical will have overall P&L responsibility for the Clinical Business Unit, overseeing the management and delivery of clinical projects in terms of time, technical ability, cGMP compliance, cost & quality, risks & issues, and interdependencies with other related projects and business activities.

To manage the introduction of new processes and technologies into SCM Pharma. Work with the engineering and production teams to develop and execute validation protocols for new and existing equipment. Manage and deliver the  technical aspects of projects to effectively and efficiently meet management and client expectations. Provide advice to production and customers on aseptic and sterile manufacturing.

To oversee the day-to-day activities of the finance team and ensures that efficient and effective financial systems are in place and that the finance function is organised and efficient and produces accurate financial and management accounts;

To supervise and operate the organisation’s financial systems including the management of time recording systems and the co-ordination, installation, configuration, upgrading and maintenance the company’s investments in ERP technologies; to plan and coordinate the change management of processes required for the support of ERP systems necessary for business operations in consultation with the wider Executive and Senior Leadership Teams.

To manage the efficient operation of the analytical and microbiology laboratories ensuring that staff are trained, developed and motivated. To ensure that the laboratories are compliant with the principles of cGMP and applicable regulatory guidelines. To participate in client quality audits and regulatory inspections on all quality Control matters and act as the primary contact for all Quality Control queries including commercial queries for preparation of client quotations.
