SCM Pharma is a contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) with high levels of expertise and experience within our production department. Given the bespoke and complex nature of many of our clients’ clinical trial or commercial supply projects, having skilled production staff is a necessity. Our approach has been to include trained technicians in production to ensure this vital stage of any project is carried out to the highest possible standard.

 

Our large production department has a comprehensive sterile and non-sterile skill-set from decades of cleanroom experience in the NHS and various pharmaceutical companies. Our team is made up of qualified and registered pharmacists, pharmacy technicians alongside graduates of biology and pharmacology. In addition, in line with our culture of continuous learning and development, several members of our team are currently progressing BTEC and NVQ Pharmacy qualifications.

 

The team works closely with the technical, microbiology and analytical teams to ensure products are manufactured to current GMP regulations in line with the documented manufacturing process and the company’s high quality standards. Furthermore, our production knowledge adds value to your process as the team are actively involved in project meetings to ensure potential manufacturing issues are flagged up to ensure the project is delivered to the agreed plan.
